Things that Increase “Rizq” :
- Good intentions.
- “Silla-e-Reham” – Staying in touch with family and relatives and being good towards them.
- Always saying in a state of “wudhoo”.
- Telling the truth.
- Not swearing/taking oaths.
- “Istighfar” – Seeking forgiveness from Allah (SWT).
- Good Akhlaq” – good moral/ethics.
- Not being greedy and being gracious for all the blessings of Allah (SWT).
- Being present in the mosque at the time of “azhan”.
- Saying namaaz in Jamaat.
- Being absolutely attentive and humble during namaaz.
- Being kind to all the forty neighbours on each of the four side of your house.
- Clipping nails on Friday.
- sweeping the main door of the house and keeping it tidy.
- Having good behaviours with the momineens.
- Combing your hair.
- Punctuality.
- Being trustworthy.
- Saying the azhan and repeating it while being said.
- Staying awake in the morning.
- Giving priority to Allah’s (SWT) commands over people’s wishes.
- Must not consider “rizq” (sustenance) to be something insignificant.
- Giving “sadqa” – alms.
- Reciting Sura -e- Yaseen in the morning and Sura -e- Waqia at night.
- Praying Safa vitr zulus namaaz on time.
- Avoiding futile conversations.
- Avoiding unchaste actions.
- Not talking in the toilet.
- Good handwriting.
- Being a pleasant speaker.
- Reciting this one hundred times a day: La illaha illalahul malikul haqul mobeen.
- Frequently repetition of : Lahawla wa la qoowata illa billahil aliyyil azeem.
- Praying any outstanding and night prayers.
- Reciting Sura -e- Tawheed when entering the house.
- Saying “Subhan Allah” thirty time daily.
- Turning on the lights of the house before sunset.
- Washing hands before and after eating.
Things that Decrease “Rizq” :
- Considering namaaz to be insignificant.
- Being disrespectful with parent.
- Addressing parents by their names.
- Walking in front of the aged.
- Cursing one’s own children and praying bad things for them.
- Breaking ties with relatives.
- Managing financial affairs without any consideration and prior thought.
- False swearing.
- Expressing greed.
- Having the habit of lying.
- Turning away the needy.
- Rushing out of masjid.
- Going to the market before sunrise.
- Buying bread from a “faqeer” beggar.
- Sleeping a lot.
- Sleeping naked.
- Eating while lying down.
- Keeping the dishes undone (not washing them).
- Not honouring bread crumbs.
- Not washing hands before and after eating.
- Using all kinds of wood for a tooth pick.
- Biting nails.
- Combing hair with a broken comb.
- Being stingy.
- Lavish the expenditures without a purpose.
- Eating and drinking in the state of “janabat” and “etlaam”.
- Urinating in the shower.
- Urinating while naked.
- Shameless behaviour.
- Not wiping spider webs.
- Keeping garbage in the rooms.
- Sleeping while the sun is setting.
- Listening to music.
- Sitting at the main door.
- Eating in an unclean and cracked dish.
- Sleeping between the time for Namaaz-e-Fajr and sunrise.
- Wiping the hands and mouth with sleeves.
- Sweeping the house at night.
- Leaving the food and drinks uncovered.
- Having an appearance of a beggar.
- Being severe with the wife in the matters of food and clothing.
- Being lazy.
